Why we verify

Verification (KYC, or know-your-customer) protects you and us. It confirms you're 18 or over, that the account is yours, that payment methods are in your name, and that we're meeting our anti-money-laundering obligations. Once cleared, your account is verified for life — no annual checks, no surprise re-verifications.

Most accounts only need to verify once, when their cumulative deposits cross NZ$2,000 or when the first withdrawal request is made. Upload the docs from your account → Verification screen, drag-and-drop or take a photo with your phone.

What we accept

Photo ID: passport (photo page), driving licence (both sides) or national identity card. The document must be in date and the photo must be clear, with all four corners visible. Selfies with the document help speed up tricky cases but aren't always required.

Address proof: utility bill, bank statement, council tax letter or government correspondence dated within the last three months. Mobile phone bills don't qualify. Payment proof: photo of the front of the card with middle eight digits masked, or screenshot from your e-wallet showing your name and account email.

Verify in one go

Upload your docs the day you register — most accounts clear KYC the same hour and never need to revisit.
